The UK Prime Minister plans to press partner nations to provide Ukrainian forces with further advanced missile systems to target enemy locations during talks in the UK capital on the upcoming Friday.

Britain's leader is set to welcome President the Ukrainian head of state alongside what's known as "group of committed partners", comprising more than 20 of Kyiv's partners who have pledged to provide the Ukrainian government security guarantees once fighting stops is negotiated.

The Ukrainian leader has been urging for several weeks for additional extended-range systems from allied countries, an action that Russia has warned would worsen the war.

Ukraine's leader is journeying from Brussels, where he met European representatives on the previous day seeking funding aid.

Sir Keir will encourage participants to ramp up the supply of long-range weapons following a productive strike on a manufacturing site in the Bryansk region, Russia, using UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles.
