I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
