In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.
The adventure centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
